Grant Summary

The 2024 KCR grant supports our organization’s annual operating budget, strengthening our ability to serve the Kensington, Harrowgate, and Fairhill communities. By directing funds towards personnel expenses, building maintenance, programming, supplies, and community outreach efforts, it enhances our capacity to address critical needs and empower community residents to thrive.

The grant is instrumental in supporting Taller’s essential art education programs and violence prevention initiatives in Philadelphia’s Fairhill neighborhood and bordering communities. Specifically, the funds will sustain and expand our art education programs, including the Cultural Exploration Program (CEP) and the Youth Artist Program (YAP), benefiting nearly 4,000 children and youth annually by fostering creativity, skill development, and cultural enrichment. Increased funding supports outreach efforts in community public schools and on-site activities, providing more opportunities for youth engagement and cultural immersion.
