- The 2024 KCR grant supports our organization's annual operating budget, strengthening our ability to serve the Kensington, Harrowgate, and Fairhill communities.

- Grant funds will be used to support the work of our Bilingual Resource Navigator program, which works to connect community members to treatment, recovery, and other services and resources that promote healing and improved quality of life.

- Our goal is to expand our photography and video workshops, providing students the opportunity to express themselves through advanced media while teaching them the skills to pursue careers in digital and motion arts and related fields.

- The mission of Historic Fair Hill is to preserve our historic Quaker burial ground, to assure that its history & the ideals of the people interred there continue to speak to the world, and to act as a collaborative partner in the revitalization of the Fairhill community through school partnerships for literacy, greening, and community engagement events.

- We have several goals: increased awareness about gun violence and what we can do to prevent it, suicide prevention (over half of gun deaths are suicide), income opportunities (making art from guns), skill-sharing (welding, blacksmithing, wood-turning) that could lead to job opportunities, community building, trauma based care and healing.

- As part of Small Things commitment to Kensington and our Pantry Partners who serve the area, we deliver food to those partners, rather than asking them to pick up their order at our warehouse in Roxborough.

- Connecting Residents to Resources
